WP6 Workpackage on long-term care

Objectives


  • To describe the mechanisms in place in selected Member States to provide the public with information on the quality of long-term care services offered by, and the performance of health care providers.

Methodology:

  • A mapping exercise of quality reporting of LTC systems in selected EU member states and Switzerland

  • Examine various technical challenges inherent in the design, implementation, and dissemination of LTC quality performance measures

  • A mapping exercise on public reporting and impact on organisations and professionals

  • An in-depth analysis of two systems in the EU

  • An examination of how public reporting of quality data could improve cross-border care, identifying potential problems related to standardisation of indicators, reporting systems and information capacity.
